On April 10th my parents celebrated 34 years of marriage. I’m so accustomed to shooting engaged or newlywed couples that I truly took for granted how special it is to have the opportunity of shooting a couple being married for over 3 decades. With this couple being my parents, it was extra special. Once again I couldn’t settle on just a couple of images so my lovely wife put together a slideshow. Happy Anniversary mom and dad, Katrina and I hope to be as happy as you are in 3 decades!

Tuscany, Italy Great Wedding Location Pictures
Yesterday afternoon, my wife and I arrived in Tuscany, Italy. We met up with my good friend, Troy Woods in Cincinnati. After hours of traveling (that included a 4 hour layover) and sprinting through the airport in Paris to make a connecting flight, we finally landed in Florence. We are staying at the beautiful Borgo di Fontebussi, located in the Chianti hills. The views here are unbelievable. I’m really looking forward to shooting here over the next few days as I attend a photography workshop taught by two of the wedding industry’s best, Gene Higa and Jose Villa. Below are a few images I was able to rush and take a few minutes after arriving at the hotel before the sunset. A bride would totally love having their wedding at this location. Of course these aren’t wedding images or your average lifestyle images but it doesn’t hurt to change things up every now and again. Shooting fashion images help keep me creative and full of fresh ideas

Felicia in the Good Ole West
Felicia recently contacted me to do a bridal session. During our conversation she mentioned she wanted to take the pictures somewhere a little different and she wanted some of the images to have somewhat of a fashion flair. This shoot was right up my alley considering my humble beginnings as a photographer started in the fashion/commercial genre. The location for this shoot was an “old western town” with dirt roads, a blacksmith shop, a general store and a saloon to boot. This was the perfect location to get creative. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Portrait Shoot with Rachel
A few days ago I did a portrait session with Rachel. She was a little nervous because it was her first time taking pictures with a photographer. We quickly ran the nervousness away and she did a fantastic job.

Meet Ana & Ava
Almost 4 years ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Sean and Karen’s wedding on a beautiful autumn afternoon. A few weeks ago I was given the pleasure again to take pictures of their new additions to the family, twin girls Ana & Ava.
This was the first image I shot as soon as Karen took Ava out of the stroller, she ran over to Sean and grabbed his leg.
Then look what happened next Ana walked over and grabbed the other leg as soon as she was out of the stroller.
They are definitely “daddy’s girls” 
Sean was happy to announce that come October they are expecting a son!
